Do you get tired of hearing “are we there yet?” on long car trips? Next time try making a paper chain to take with you with each link representing a half hour of time. As each half hour passes, the kids can tear off one link and they have an easy visual sense of how much time is passing and how much time is left!
Quick tip: so kids don’t fight over whose turn it is to tear the chain if you have multiple children, alternate the colors and assign them each a color!
