our family really enjoys celebrating Halloween … carving pumpkins, decorating and wearing costumes. with more people becoming recycle friendly (and the prices of things going up and up) i think a great idea for a costume would be to make up a recycled costume. if you have kept costumes (or parts of costumes) from Halloweens past, take pieces from different costumes and put them together into one costume. for instance, a clown wig and nose, a witches hat, princess dress, fairy wings and ballet shoes for a girl or a pirate hat and eye patch, Super Man cape, karate outfit, and a Star Wars light saber for a boy. then make a sign to pin to the front that says 100% recycled. not only can the kids make up a silly name for their costume (like… super swashbuckling karate jedi) but they can be all their favorites at the same time.
Both my kids are going to be Chinese girls, but if I had to come up with something on the fly, I’d totally go for pirates.
We are thinking about dressing up as characters from Toy Story. My son wants to be Woody and me to be Jesse. We’re not sure if we could pull off a horse costume for my husband to be Bullseye, but it would be fun!
Fun! I’d love to win! My husband is going to have a shirt that says “Go Ceilings!” and carry a foam finger. He’ll be a “Ceiling Fan”.

I love to carve pumpkins! Best custome idea…umm…I love Charlie Brown’s “holy” ghost custome! I think my son will do that this year.
my best costume was a popcorn vendor - red and white striped shirt and black pants with a red apron and plenty of boxes of popcorn.
I love dressing up for Halloween. It’s the one time of year I can be a kid again. Probably a witch or flapper.
A friend of mine one year was having trouble coming up with a costume…so I told him I would make his and surprise him. I took a large packing box and wrapped in in wrapping paper and it had a HUGE bow on the front with a large gift tag that said, “God’s gift to women.” It was a huge success!
WE love to carve pumkins every year its our family event.
Its fun. being we even carve fake ones and use them as decorations every yr. Its nice event. My son would be in aaa if we won this..
One year I went as Marilyn Monroe. My mom made me the Pink dress she wore in the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I didn’t want the traditional white dress she wore in The Seven Year Itch. That was my favorite costume of all time.
we love to carve pumpkins and celebrate fall- costumes are usually thrown together
My chubby baby could easily be the Michelin man just by him sitting there.

We have 3 little ones so we are loving the pumpkin season. Every year my husband & I dress up and last year I made a cupcake costume from an apple barrel that I got from our local orchards and that was my cupcake cup and the cupcake itself I attached bailling wire to the barrel and wrapped fluffy material all around and then went to town with my glue gun and different colored round pieces of felt to make candy dots all over. My kids got a kick out of it and my husband was the baker.
Last year my girls were dead cheerleaders and my son was an evil ghost. The girls really enjoyed it because they are in gymnastics and could do some cool stuff for tricks. They still
haven’t decided for this year yet.
How about a 1/2 male and 1/2 female costume. One side would be male and the other female.
I love pumpkin carving. My mother always made our costumes, but my favorite one of all time was when I dressed as an elderly woman. It was hilarious, I had curly gray (baby powder) hair, tons of bobby pens, a walking cane, stockings and glasses, and pointy shoes. I went thru the store and people loved it. And all of it was stuff from around the house. The funny part is that year my brother was a ninja!
my family and i carve pumpkins every year it is a family thing that we enjoy.i would love to see different things that we can do with our pumpkins this year.this is a great oppertunity
