One of my favorite homeschool blog writers posted a peanut butter cookie recipe recently. I read it just as dinner was finished cooking, so I jumped up and we made this quick little recipe and we had warm cookies for dessert.
Recipe:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar (Can sub. 1/2 c agave or raw honey)
1 egg, beaten
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and roll into 1” balls and place on cookie sheet a2-3” apart. Flatten with fork in ‘X’ pattern as usual. Bake at 350º for approx. 10 minutes, watch as cooking times may vary and they burn easily!
They were stinkin’ good and super easy for kids to make.
what about flour? pb & sugar would just melt
Nope – they don’t melt. I guess the egg helps hold it together. I made them exactly according to the recipe and they were great!
I love cookies. Peanut butter cookies tastes great. Perhaps additional ingredients like smarties or chocolate will be nice too.
Mmmmm these sound really good! We always have plenty of peanut butter on hand, we will have to make these this weekend, adding chocolate chips sounds really good too!
