Make Your Own Christmas Countdown Calendar

santapic.JPGCan you believe December is almost here? Christmas is right around the corner, so it’s time to make your countdown calendar! Having a calendar has been a tradition in my family, and they can help make the long wait to Christmas easier for little kids. I thought this idea was so creative and easy, I can’t wait to make it myself.

Materials needed:

  • Plastic wrap (several feet)
  • 25 candies
  • Curling ribbon
  • Scissors

Roll out the plastic wrap. Line up 25 candies in a row, 1 inch apart, and fold both sides of the plastic over the chocolate. Cut 26 pieces of ribbon (each about 6 inches long).Tie each piece of ribbon in a knot between the candies. Tie one larger ribbon at the top, and hang your calender from a doorknob or a hook. Each day starting December 1st, unwrap one of the candies and eat it while counting down the days to Christmas!
