I'm trying a new behavior modification for my unruley 11 yr old. He smarted off that I (Mom) never do anything for him, so..... I've made a list of chores/jobs along with the amount he earns for doing each of these chores/jobs. I've also listed some of the priviledges he can "buy" with his money (2 hrs of t.v. costs him $5, etc.). I didn't want to hand over actual cash, so these are great! I'm hoping he can learn to appreciate his single mom's hard work, and also learn that EVERYTHING COSTS SOMETHING! He's become so disrespectful, out of control, and expects everything to be given to him. Perhaps this will give him a wake-up call and see for once that I do alot for him and his brother, and a lil respect goes along way and often gets you what you want (which to him is t.v., friends, skateboard, etc.) lol I'm crossing my fingers and hope this works!!! lol This is great!
