  16. I am thrilled to see the play money. As a teacher I can visualize a funtastic token economy system, with a Friday student store. As a parent I can visualize the token economy system, but using the money to represent actual what they can later exchange for actual currency later.

  29. play money should look like real money so that younger kids can start to know what real money looks like for when there older.

  34. I think this site is awesome, I (as of this moment) have only seen the printable play money, but it is very helpful.
I am in school obtaining my Early Learning & Child Care diploma, and we have an assignment of “Prop Box”. I decided since the kids in my Practicum (which is kind of like a volunteer position at a daycare/preschool) love the housekeeping center, I bought a cash register and decided to try and find some play money to go with it that is cheap. This is amazing, I plan to take a better look around the site now that I have found it!

    <3 it!!

  38. This is great! I’m trying a new behavior modification for my unruley 11 yr old. He smarted off that I (Mom) never do anything for him, so…..
I’ve made a list of chores/jobs along with the amount he earns for doing each of these chores/jobs. I’ve also listed some of the priviledges he can “buy” with his money (2 hrs of t.v. costs him $5, etc.). I didn’t want to hand over actual cash, so these are great!

I’m hoping he can learn to appreciate his single mom’s hard work, and also learn that EVERYTHING COSTS SOMETHING! He’s become so disrespectful, out of control, and expects everything to be given to him. Perhaps this will give him a wake-up call and see for once that I do alot for him and his brother, and a lil respect goes along way and often gets you what you want (which to him is t.v., friends, skateboard, etc.) lol
I’m crossing my fingers and hope this works!!! lol

  39. Really great ideas Krissi! Glad you could use the play money. Come back and let us know how it’s going!

  40. how about teach kids to act as parent. give the play money, ask them to give it to their dolls (allowance), pay bills, rents, etc. i think this role game would inculcate appreciation for money and the most important one is to appreciate parent. they would learn that it is a heavy responsibility for parent to raise them, financially..
